How I went from being a suicidal anorexic to a happy, healthy entrepreneur! [New Interview!}

Some of you might know that I have had a pretty rough upbringing. For most of my life I was struggling with physical and emotional abuse, disordered eating and a severe anxiety disorder.

Every day, I am grateful to have survived these incredibly hard times and I still can't really believe how far I made it since then (pinch me!).

Today, my reality looks entirely different, I love my business, I am happier and healthier than I have ever been, but I also still remember the hard times and have to clean up a lot of emotional pain that's still in my psyche.

A couple of months ago, my friend Maddy had me on her podcast (check it out here) and we talked about my life story. This interview became one of the most vulnerable and heartfelt conversations I have had until this day! I received countless emails from listeners in the months after, telling me about their life stories and that hearing mine made them feel like they can heal from anything!

It was such a great experience for all of us that Maddy asked me to be on her show for a second round!
On the show, we talk about becoming a whole and healthy human being through energy healing with Goddess archetypes and I am so excited to share it with you!

Listen to Maddys new podcast episode with me here.

Her inviting me to be a guest on her show has kickstarted our friendship and changed me in so many ways.

This newsletter is not just about sharing this fun and mystical podcast episode with you, but also a gratitude letter to all the people who believe in us when we forget how brilliant we are and who support us in ways we never could have dreamed of!

I had many great friends before meeting Maddy and I never really had a craving for deeper friendship in my life.
I was happy spending my days behind my computer coaching clients, dreaming up my next travel adventure and meeting for tea with girlfriends in the city!

But then she came to Amsterdam and after having been online friends for a while, we finally met in person and it was friendship love at first sight!

From the very moment we saw each other, we were laughing, talking about men, the craziness of the self-help industry and the insecurity that comes with pushing past your comfort zone. Our conversation lasted almost 9 hours and afterwards I laid in bed smiling the biggest smile my face could do!

One of the biggest blessings that came from starting a business and running it online has been the connections with peers and clients I have made.

It's not the money, location freedom and working hours that stand out to me when I look back at the last couple of years as an entrepreneur.
It's the friends I have gained on the way- by far!

For a long time I didn't really understand when people said "relationships are what matter most", because I was struggling with money and I thought that my biggest success will be when I finally have a healthy in and outflow of finances.

But the way things turn out is always better than I could hope for. Not only did I build a great business that supports me, inspires me and lets me work with my brilliant tribe of clients (love you!).

But all the hard work, questioning and believing in myself paid off in so many other ways as well. The most striking one is how my relationships have changed and how much more stable and flowing I feel as a result of it!

None of us would be who we are without the few people who stick around and are always here for us.

Who are you most grateful for in your life right now and why?
